Our hitting approach is a touch to passive for my liking.

How did we get lead back? Last I heard we gave up lead.

I just wonder what effect the new bats have had. No doubt Robe will make the necessary adjustments, but I'll admit now that I'm getting a bit antsy

Stranded way too many. But, Sienna swung the same bats.

We never trailed. They tied it at 3.and we had a chance to win it with bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th.but Poirrier struck out.

I think we've stranded 10 or more in 3 games already.

This team will win some games this year. I've been working and haven't seen them play yet, but their stats look better than their record. When Porier gets back to where he was last season along with Fred, Font, Fus, and Goulas, this will be a solid lineup. Pitching looks great and you've gotta believe Geith will be better than his first outing. Still early

It's not the bats, it is the way Robe likes to play baseball. He is one of the best pitching coaches in the country and he coaches to his strength. He has been very successful at doing so. We do not seem to recruit guys who can really hit for power. Instead we rely on outstanding pitching and timely hitting. We manufacture runs instead of driving in runs, a lot of times that is just not enough to win.

It's the bats. Robe said today the team lacks significant arrogance, playing not to lose at the plate. I'm thinking that given the choice he'd take the offensive games of the 2005 and 2007 regional teams and smash teams with a dozen or more hits, while pitching them to death3 hits?.against Siena?.really?.the win today is um, lucky.

Robe-ism #1,305 : You pitch yourself to a regional, but your hit yourself THROUGH a regional.

Once the bats come around, this team will be really dangerous.
