Here is why YOU should care. At the end of the season UL is looking for a national seed, the committee looks at UL and sees good wins, and bad loses. Bad lose number one SU was 1-10 at the meeting. You can bet that will not go unnoticed.
We have been placed in a weak softball conference and we don't get as many opportunites to beat the good teams as in the past. The team really needs to take care of business against bad teams which SU truly is at this point.
Sleep well ULforLife. You are correct. The greatest teams in softball, like baseball, can quite easily drop a game to a lesser program. It happens all of the time and because of that, this loss to Southern does not spoil the season. It gives the coaches 10x the power now to get the focus on every single hard practice, etc, etc. For people to act like this is substantial is stupid. It is not like a powerhouse football program dropping one of 12 regular season games to an underdog. With a lot of the season left, and much better programs yet to be faced, you can all but obliterate this loss.
The biggest "stupid" for those squawking about it is... it's a pimple and it is gone.
