If what someone said in this thread earlier is correct, the biggest requirement for those other 2 tourneys are attendance and that means that the Cajuns definitely have a chance of hosting a game because our attendance was phenominal.

Yes. Attendance is a factor. So is finding a team willing to pay the hosting fee.

i don't think we get near 8k for a CIT game. 3k maybe 4k. but we'll be in dayton early that week anyway, not Lafayette.

Agreed! NO WAY we get 8K for a game in a tourney that I've never even heard of (and I'm a huge sports fan)!!! We just barely got 8K for this one game. It was the largest crowd in like 8 years, lets not go all thinking we'll get that for every game here on out for the next several years.

That's just not the feel I get from this current Cajun basketball mania. For me, at least, that 8K cared NOT who or what we were playing for. They wanted to watch a winner. But with a better overall record, there might have been more.

Many doubters still out there, but Marlin has just begun the conversion process taking the casual fan to the fanatic level.

One only needs to look at our student section! The rest of us FEED off of them. It all begins and ends with them!
