Long winded, exciting, exasperating
Louisiana's Lady Cajuns were robbed of an inning ending out in the top of the 13th, with the game tied.
To their credit they never quit when the U-Mass player bunted and was hit by her own ball, but was not called out buy either the umpire or first base ref.
After this softball faux pas, the Lady Cajuns went on to commit three errors and give up two runs.
While at bat, in the bottom of the 13th with two outs, Louisiana proceeded to load the bases. Up two balls and no strikes, bases loaded U-Mass got the final out and the win with a final score of 5-3

Addison's HR powers USA Elite
Posted on July 21, 2002
SURREY, B.C. - Former (University of Louisiana) softball All-American Alana Addison made the difference for USA Elite here Saturday against the USA National Team in the championship bracket of the Canada Cup.
USA Elite trailed 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Addison delivered a three-run home run against All-American pitcher Lisa Fernandez for a 3-1 victory that kept USA Elite unbeaten in the tournament at 7-0.
Lindsay Gardner led off the Elite sixth by getting hit by a pitch, but was out on a fielder's choice by Crystl Bustos. Sarah Beeson's single through the infield put runners on first and second, and Kellie Wilkerson's sacrifice bunt moved the runners ahead.
Then, with LSU's Trena Peel pinch-running for Beeson, second baseman Addison lofted her deciding home run to left field that made a winner of Catherine Osterman.
Addison entered a late night game against the teamsmith Nationals hitting 10-of-22 (.455) in the tournament with five home runs and 15 RBI.
