Was browsing thru espn.com and found this stat. Only category that we ranked nationally. But hey, as long as we win games, i don't care how we rank nationally!

You're right, as long as we keep winning games. Especially when we play at Denver.
I think its due in part to a couple things. One, our athleticism. We have some pretty athletic guys on our squad. The other thing, and this is probably 99% of the reason we don't have players with earth-shattering numbers..........unselfish play. Seems like they are all playing for W's and not for stats, and that's incredible nowadays.
You definitely said a mouthful right there. It seems that they are capitalizing on their mistakes that crumbled them in the earlier part of the season. Better shot selection is one of those. But, unselfishness is one major key(Orien's 10 assists)(wow). On the other hand, what I can't stand the most is stupid turnovers. It's one thing for a nice defensive play by an opponent, but to throw a pass away where no one is at, is mind boggling. It's all unforced turnovers!! Besides Cameron's 3point light-up last night, he must have thrown away 3 passes, rebounds going through his hands, just to name a couple. Without, the unforced errors, we're pretty much unstoppable.
I just hope that we can develop our bench. If they become more reliable...and are starters can take a rest without losing production...then we will get to see how good Greene, Mitchell, Camron and Hamilton really are!
Same catagory: I don't have the exact ranking but early in the season Orien Green ranked 5th in the country at almost 5 steals per game.Originally posted by Sid
