I'm now liking the Cajuns chances. Hawk predicted doom for the Saints in 2009. Hawk predicted doom for Cajun baseball last year. I now think a regional this year is in the bag!

You can thank me later. Sadly....I predicted the Saints would beat the 7-9 hapless Seahawks in the playoffs this year. Sorry. I also predicted Abita beer would be good. Wrong again. So....here goes.

    2011-2012 predictions

Drew Brees wins MVP. Saints win the Super Bowl. Reggie Bush will make everyone forget about Pierre Thomas. Sean Payton will be named coach of the year. Jonathan Vilma will get caught speeding again. Seahawks miss the playoffs. Cajun baseball will look "pitiful" all year long and will finish dead last in the sun belt. Cajun Basketball will finish the 2010-2011 season by losing to Denver and ULM and going one and done in the SBC tournament. In his first year as Cajun's head coach Mark Hudspeth will fall flat on his face and not make a bowl game this year. And LSU wins at everything!!!!

That should take care of 2011.

I think our performance in the first five games is somewhere between poor and pitiful. We don't look like a good hitting club. There has been a couple of bright spots on the pitching side, but not near enough to play "small ball". I though we may "be coming out of it" a little after last night, but I'll be honest with you, it looks like it could be a long season. No hitting, average pitching, and losing to traditionally weak teams is not a good formula for success. But what do I know; I thought basketball would be weak and baseball would be strong.........

So going off of that, I assume Hawk must be a glass half empty type of guy huh?

Yeah. Hawk pronouncing a team dead is the best thing that can happen. We are replacing a lot and are making some mistakes. Shutter the program. Pitiful I tell you! We are 2-4. We lost a series to a decent SEMO team, and we split w/ Nicholls in a midweek. Can we get a slightly larger sample size.

And Hawk for the record synonyms mean the words mean similar things. But every word has a different conotation, poor and pitiful mean two incredibly different things.

I can handle the word pitiful. Just not when it comes during an over reaction. There is nothing wrong with using the word pitiful, but let's get some perspective first

I'm more interested in hawks picks for upcoming games. We could all make a fortune not taking his advice.
