Just a loose prediction, but after what I saw at practice last night I think the 2005 Softball team will set a record for Home Runs.

The sun is setting on preseason practice. Counting today the 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Classic is only 9 days away.
Brooke Mitchell, what can I say that hasn't already been said. OK I don't mind repeating... Simply the Best.
The coaches Lotief were on Thinking Out Loud this morning. They have high expectation for this years squad.
I let them know I nicknamed the team those Dynamic Yardin Cajuns
Turbine,
.
Every year they set a record for Home Runs! Of course, they will again, they are one more year into Mike Lotief's passion of "hitting philosophy". He believes in going Yard. They will. IT will be awesomely (a word?) fun to watch.
Brooke will keep the hitters of the other teams a bay, but if anyone gets a lucky hit in, the defense is READY to back her up. Woe be to the team that even tries a double play.
They should do a calendar. I know they have a few hot ones. Brooke can be December for a World Series championship present. I'd buy one.
But on a more serious note, these girls are amazing. I just hope we can pack Lady Cajun Park when Arizona comes to town. And, I'd pay up $12-$15 for the calendar.
