Please god no. Abita beer is the absolute worse beer out there. I had Purple Haze the other night....never again. I don't care if it's Louisiana made...it's awful. Mixing sh-tty Abita beer with fruit is also a massive failure. Who do I need to call to get this garbage nixed from ALL UL events?

I've tried. Ask anyone that knows me in person...I am as open a beer drinker as there ever was one. Someone could prolly urinate in a bottle, slap a cool label on it, ice it and I would give it a go. I have many interesting stories of weird beers I have drank from Imported Elephant, Labotomy Bock, etc. I love it. I love trying weird beers on a whim. But one of the worst....WORST brands out there is Abita. The stuff is swill. I can handle just about any kind of beer out there...but Abita is my kryptonite.

Obviously you forgot when we tried Highway 31 (LA-31). By far the worst I've had.

Jefferson Street pub right? I just lumped that one in with the Abita crowd. I do the same with Dixie beer. I don't think Louisiana should be brewing beer. Our food is too good to be lumped in with that swill.
