UL's Ford to miss game

If Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are going to top Sun Belt Conference rival Western Kentucky on Thursday at the Cajundome, they'll have to do it without Spencer Ford.

Ford was ejected from last Saturday night's 67-50 home win over Florida International, and on Monday the Sun Belt office determined that Ford would be suspended for UL's next game against WKU.

Ford went to the aid of teammate Orien Greene, who was tied up after a steal by FIIU's Kenny Simms, and the exchange between Ford and Simms quickly became heated. While Ford was ejected, Simms remained in the game.

The officials' game report indicated Ford's intention was fighting, which carries an automatic one-game suspension.
