Thread: RealTime RPI: 2/21 UL=220 LSU=222

    Default RealTime RPI: 2/21 UL=220 LSU=222

RPI looks good this week. We are predicted to beat Denver by 8 and Monroe by 11.
And as an added bonus, our RPI is two places better than LSU's:

I wouldn't consider an RPI over 200 between Georgia St and Tennessee St to be good. But hey just win baby

You consider two predicted wins in our last two conference games (1 of those wins ties us for first in our division.) and an RPI that's better than LSU's bad? Maybe I'm too much of a half-full kind of guy...

I'm not being pessimistic. Don't worry. But I think it's pretty safe to say LSU is not a good basketball team this year

Let's just agree that a rising RPI is a very good thing

...agreed and agreed, but I have no problem kicking the tigers while they're down :-D

Why are we always comparing ourselves with LSU? I couldn't care less about LSU or what their RPI is in Basketball or Baseball for that matter. JUST WIN BABY!

Hopefully, and I think this is almost a guarantee. Our RPI will never be lower than this in the Marlin Era!!!

They're a cross-town rival. It's great when we are better than/beat them them in any sport--baseball, softball, and in this instance basketball.

Your post makes it seem as though my OP took something away from UL; I really don't see that.

I didn't intend on making your OP seem negative. It just seems like we compare ourselves with the Tigers only in situations that play to our advantage.

No it's not good. Like has been said, it's improving but that's one thing I'm not bragging about. I'm all for talking about the streak or the way were playing or the freshmen, but a 200+ RPI is not a topic I bring up if necessary.
