I was thinking the same thing. Where are the guys like Hawkins, Tatford, Hawk, etc. I was hoping that last night was a fluke.

Yep. With the lack of physical size, and the new toned-down bats, it seems like we'll have to rely on ground ball singles, bunting, and aggressive baserunning to score runs. Homeruns, or even shots in the gaps, will probably be at a minimum. And word is, the turf field plays slower than the natural surface. Just doesn't seem like a good combination to me. Hopefully Robe can get the pitching where it needs to be and we can beat people 3-2.

Agreed. They will have to be a line drive/gap hitting team. Because of the lack of power, they'll have to play great defense and pitch well to keep the scores low.
