Complete list of 2005 verbal commitments St. Augustine's Adams selects UL
LOUISIANA La. - Seth Adams is likely the least experienced football player on the University of Louisiana's recruiting list.
But St. Augustine High coach Tyrone Payne says that's a good thing.
"All his best football days are in front of him," Payne said. "He's just now learning the game. And I figure he's going to get bigger and stronger."
Adams already checks in at 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, and he became the second-heaviest member of the Ragin' Cajuns' commitment class when he gave head coach Rickey Bustle a verbal commitment this week.
Adams made his official visit to UL last weekend, but said he had already narrowed down his choices to the school before his only official visit.
"I made up my mind before I ever went there," he said, "but that helped me decide for sure. It felt very family-oriented and I really liked that. The football staff was nice ... they made me feel part of the team already."
Adams was a part of the St. Augustine squad for only two years and saw extensive playing time only as a senior at defensive tackle.
