    I was in college at the time and probably was there. I remember it being packed, but not 7,500+ packed. Trying to remember if that was when they didn't sell beer, but you could bring an ice chest in along the third base side. Good times, hard to remember them though...

    I remember the largest crowd. As a kid, we sat along the fence while the adults sat in the bleachers. Plus, plenty of people along the outfield fence and every other place they could find.

    Back then -for most of those games- the Tigue sat 2,200

    How do you get 5,000 people standing?

    The only way I see the top number happening at the Tigue (besides typo) is if some corporation bought 3,500 tickets.

    What about being the designated home team at a neutral site, like in the SuperDome?

    The 89 game was when you could bring in your own cooler. I recall bringing in a 120 qt and sitting on 3rd base side too.

    Anybody else remember the games in Abbeville and at Acadian Ballpark in New Iberia? Those were some fun games to watch.
