A question for Coach Bab... With the record number of season tickets sold will the concession stands be able to handle the influx of Cajun fans?
What time will bab be on?

A couples of years ago...before the Stanford Financial Group scam...the renovation financing was in place and the work was set to start after the 2009 season. When a large commitment had to be withdrawn, the work was put off and was not planned to begin until after the 2012 season. That start date had been discussed until the last month or two. Somehow...something...other donors or whatever have evidently stepped forward...and now the start date is at the end of THIS season...as mentioned by Robe on the radio this past Saturday.
Someone correct me if I got some of this wrong.

I don't know if anyone has seen renderings of the baseball upgrades? If you get a chance though, go take a look at south carolina's ballpark. It's got the brick that matches our campus and Lamson park and its got a similar red color. I can see Ragin Cajun logo's all over it. I know the size of it is a little large. but their pressbox/sweets and chairbacks are perfect. Give me that and tie it into the exsisting bleachers and your good for like 50 year's. Get up around 46 to 48 hundred seats.
P.S. i am a computer idiot so if someone with skills would like to post a link it's worth the look.
T...this news has not gotten much press or attention. This is pretty big news!
Not to be nosey (if its something or someone we don't need to know about that's fine)...but I surely would like to know what changed between say Thanksgiving and this week to be able to move the start date up a full 12 months!
THIS IS BIG!

According to Ryan E. Sickman with HOK Sport Company, the firm responsible for designing Carolina Stadium, "I personally have taken great pride in giving the Gamecocks, what is no doubt in my mind, the best collegiate only baseball park in the nation. It is our hope that Carolina Stadium becomes the standard of what to expect from a premier Division I baseball program, and a class act athletics program like the University of South Carolina."
