T...this news has not gotten much press or attention. This is pretty big news!

Not to be nosey (if its something or someone we don't need to know about that's fine)...but I surely would like to know what changed between say Thanksgiving and this week to be able to move the start date up a full 12 months!

_ I don't know if anyone has seen renderings of the baseball upgrades? If you get a chance though, go take a look at south carolina's ballpark. It's got the brick that matches our campus and Lamson park and its got a similar red color. I can see Ragin Cajun logo's all over it. I know the size of it is a little large. but their pressbox/sweets and chairbacks are perfect. Give me that and tie it into the exsisting bleachers and your good for like 50 year's. Get up around 46 to 48 hundred seats.

Sickman with HOK Sport Company, the firm responsible for designing Carolina Stadium, "I personally have taken great pride in giving the Gamecocks, what is no doubt in my mind, the best collegiate only baseball park in the nation. It is our hope that Carolina Stadium becomes the standard of what to expect from a premier Division I baseball program, and a class act athletics program like the University of South Carolina."

Pretty awesome facility. I'd like to see some of this incorporated into ours...but I know it will be on a smaller scale and I don't think we have the room to have as spacious a layout as theirs. But I am confident that the powers that be will produce the best upgrade possible with the space and financial contraints we have to deal with.

Over the past 3 or so seasons, our hitting has gotten off to a slow start. Any thoughts on why? Is it a mechanics thing...or is it mental?
