Annual Football Banquet a success Signing Day Gala Just Days Away

LOUISIANA La. - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns football will have a pair of gatherings at the Cajundome Convention Center, one later this month and another in February.

Rickey Bustle's Ragin' Cajuns will hold their annual football banquet on Saturday, Jan. 22 in the Convention Center at 5pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling Tammy at the UL Alumni House (482-0900) or by contacting the UL Football Office (482-6318).

KLFY's Brian Gerring will emcee the banquet which features current and former players. Join the Cajuns in honoring the team's 2004 award winners, as well as recognizing former greats.

The banquet precedes the Cajuns men's basketball game vs. Florida International at the Cajundome.

The Cajuns will hold a signing day party on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the Convention Center to introduce UL's 2005 football signing class. The event begins at 6pm. Fans will be asked for a $10 donation to football recruiting.

I will certainly be there, it's one of my favorite events of the year. (of course, winning that Ragin Cajun Canopy last year sure puts a positive spin on for me). Looking forward to seeing all you guys out there.
