I can't imagine anyone has done an accurate head count in the past. I believe this spring game will vastly outnumber any prior spring game.
For those who doubt it... I believe you should come out and verify it in person.

When is the spring game?
April 9, 2011 an late afternoon kickoff, either 5 or 6 pm. I was told it was at 6 pm but then heard it maybe at 5 pm. the date is important and as we get closer it will be annouced a lot over the airwaves of tv/radion and internet.
We will be tailgating that day.

Have been the last few years and maybe 300-400 people. Hope they have a program listing of players. Usually I had to print something from home and bring.
This will easily outumber anything from the past.

Also noticed coach Hud changed colors for practice. Believe Blue is qb and yellow is injured. Was wondering if the yellow for injured might inspire guys to stay healthy??? :>)

300-400, you must be including the players, I would say 150 tops and I've been to just about everyone since bustle has been here, this spring game will be nothing like spring games of the past. For starters it will actually be a real game not a glorified practice.

The fact that it will be a real game will help improve the attendance, but in my opinion, the biggest helper will be that they moved the game time to later on. Morning to mid-day games never draw well here, and with it starting to get hot around that time, you have a much better chance of drawing a good crowd for a late afternoon evening game which I think will be the case. I don't think there will be 15,000 there, but I do think a few thousand is possible.
Our crew will be boiling crawfish with a side of adult beverages and water. I can't forget the BOOM COOLER!
I can remember some spring games when Mitchell...and then again when Jake was playing...that we might have had 400 or so. But that would be the absolute most I can ever remember.

Hey guys, my name's David and I'm a junior petroleum engineering major at UL. I saw the other thread on here about the outrageous crawfish prices in Lafayette and thought that I should let you know about the great event our department is having on April 9. The UL Department of Petroleum Engineering is hosting our 10th Annual Industry Appreciation Crawfish Boil on Saturday, April 9 2011, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Girard Park. Advance ticket prices are $20.00, $25.00 at the door, and each ticket covers one 5-6 pound tray of crawfish, potatoes, corn, and drinks (soda and beer!). We invite and encourage everyone to try attending this wonderful event and we will also have a fun jump for the kids so bring the whole family. It is also our understanding that the spring football game will be held on April 9 at 5:00 PM. What better way to enjoy a Saturday in Lafayette than to eat crawfish, drink beer, and watch CAJUNS football!!
Some of you may or may not know that our department and UL Society of Petroleum Engineers chapter had been recognized as the "2010 Most Outstanding SPE chapter in North America" by SPE International. We were presented with this highly distinguished award while attending the annual SPE International Technical Conference held last fall in Florence, Italy and it is our second time winning the award in the last 4 years. By attending our crawfish boil fundraiser you can help us continue our program's amazing success. All proceeds from this event will help benefit our Petroleum Department at UL.
If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets you can email me at dmp8741@louisiana.edu or send me a pm. You can also check out our facebook page by searching "UL Petroleum Engineering Crawfish Boil" for more information. Thanks to all for your consideration.
