Jason Shirey Played Baseball for Louisiana under Mike Boulanger during UL's last year in the American South and first year in the SunBelt.

In 1991 UL won the Amercan South with a 14-4 record and 49-20 overall

In Jason's second year 1992 the Ragin' CAjuns won the Western Division of the Sunbelt with a 14-6 SB record and 38-23 overall.

During his baseball playing years UL went 87-43

From 1995 through 1997 Jason Shirey was an assistant coach for the Lady Cajun Softball program. During his stint the Lady Cajuns of Louisiana made 2 appearances in the College World Series, and NCAA regionals in a 3rd.

During his softball coaching years, UL went 141-37
