Hopefully they all redshirt, but the running backs, receivers and corners will get a chance to play immediately I suspect.

My personal hope every year is that the recruits are so good that they unseat good starters.

No. Some of these kids are ready and need to play this year. That's why Hud brought in so many players. Infusion of talent was needed.

    Immediate Help:

    Trae Johnson
    Harris or Griffen (if eligible)
    Jaylen Hunter
    Dexter Aucoin
    Alvarez

    Long Term Potential:

I think all have great longterm potential but...

    Justin Hamilton
    Pettis
    Montrel Carter
    McNeal
    Jamal Robinson
    Griffen
    Trae Johnson
    Holman

You can't really separate any of these guys from the others in this class IMO. I think all will contribute at some point down the road. Hamilton and Pettis have the best longterm potential IMO. Pettis can be a bigger version of Green and have similar impact but be more balanced in blocking and receiving. Hamilton can be a game changing type of player as he has SEC athleticism and size. McNeal and Robinson are big, talented receivers that we haven't had in this program and we need a dynamic player who can create field position advantages in the return game like Carter or Effrem Reed.

Trae Johnson and Holman obviously have great potential for sustained play but I truly can't say that none of these guys will contribute in the future as they all have tremendous upside.

I think you may see a McNeal and Pettis redshirt possibly but the CB's should all provide immediate depth. I would suspect that Jackson and possibly Effrem Reed would redshirt if Griffen is eligible but the coach will have to evaluate in the fall and see where his depth is.

I don't know but how many defensive series are started following KOs for the entie year??? Just think that if you start each one with 4/5ths of the field to go instead of 3/5ths of the field to go for a TD against you----How many times have we seen post KO possesions start at the 40 yard line or more---aaaahhhhhh--Come on Senior Alvarez!!!!!

I think one of our future stars is Pettis. The kid has great size, can block, likes to hit, and has great hands...the first clip they showed of him on signing day was him making a one-handed catch. _
Yea I heard Hud say that last night but there is nothing wrong in having a two TE set (with Pettis) from time to time. Think about the matchup problems he would cause at that size and what has to be (basketball) athletic mobility.... Time will tell

Dont be suprised if Harris is lined up at the LB spot in the fall

and he protects his QB. If you hit the qb late, he gonna get ya on the next play. All within the framework of the rules of course.

I have no idea who will play immediately, but I would guess all the JC guys will play this year.
I also think 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1OL, 1DL, 1LB, and 2CB from the freshmen class will need to play this year. It will be interesting which of the young pups picks up the offense the quickest.
