Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns, who didn't play well in an 85-78 loss to GSU earlier this year in Atlanta, felt the Panthers enjoyed that victory a little too much.

So when GSU hit town on Monday, the Cajuns delivered a 67-50 reminder of their brand of basketball to improve to 4-5 on the year.

"They beat us down there, and they were cocky," said Tiras Wade, who had 18 points and 10 rebounds for UL. "We knew we were a better team than they were, but we didn't show it. We had to show them that Cajun Ball was better than them."

"Payback was big," Dwayne Mitchell said. "When they won in Atlanta, they talked a lot of trash. We knew we didn't play as hard as we knew we could in that game.

"Defensively, we played like the Ragin' Cajuns play. We showed a lot of intensity and laid it all on the floor."

Georgia State hit 23-of-37 shots in the win in Atlanta, including 7-of-12 3-pointers. They also made 32-of-48 free throws.

But the Panthers, who fell to 3-6 overall and 0-6 on the road, were held to 18-of-54 from the field, 6-of-18 treys and 8-of-13 at the line on Monday.

"In Atlanta," Lee said, "they kind of let us know that they were beating us. Sure we took it personally. You have to take every game personally, like Thursday's game in Lake Charles against McNeese State."
