Two years ago, when Dan and Mark and the rest of our coaches were hired at MSU, something slowly started to build. You could see it in recruiting, feel it in the spring game, and saw it on the field. Our first game, we hung 45 on Jackson State and the fanbase was buzzing. the next week we went to Auburn and kinda got a reality check. As our season went along, Dan took a bunch of 2 star recruits that Sly croom brought to MSU and had them thinking they could compete. By the Egg Bowl, they thought they could win. In the 2nd half of that game, they knew they could. This year, that same group of kids went from thinking they could compete, to hoping they could win, to knowing they could win, and believing they were gonna win. It was all about belieiving. The ability to believe is a great thing. In two short years, we got to a point where we could dismantle the most successful college program in the history of college football. Why?. Because we believed we could. In this game, success is judged by how many wins and losses you have. Its a cruel measuring stick, but its reality. I see alot of similarities in MSU and UL. You guys are starting to believe. Thats the most important step you will take. Dont judge next year on wins and losses, judge it on how much you and your players start to believe. great things are coming, for UL and MSU. You guys are gonna win the sunbelt real soon. and starting on Saturday Septemeber 10th when we beat Auburn and Thursday Septemeber 15th when we send LSU home a loser, we are on our way too. Go Dawgs! Go Cajuns!
