Boomer, he snoozed on the Cajuns and lost out. Trust me when I say this, Jamal Robinson is the best WR we have offered out of La. he is a monster. Plays like Brandon Marshall.
Besides McNeal will be a beast as well, just has to learn the position. IMO he will need a redshirt year to get stronger and learn the position.

I like Robinson a lot and is a much better runner after the catch than Briggs, but Briggs is a much bigger target and and I really like the way he catches the ball with his hands. I watched film on both and all the other WR that Cajun T provided to us on scout.com and I had Briggs rated first and Robinson second. I am no expert but I really wanted Briggs. We will get another big receiver but more in the lanky category in McNeil so we will have a big target to throw to in the end zone area. Of all the WR we recruited I predict Briggs has the best chance or will be best NFL prospect in a few years. Time will tell. Briggs reminds me of a Mike Williams from Seattle, Andre Johnson from Houston, and Brandon Marshell from Miami.
Again we got 2 very good ones in Robinson and McNeil not to mention some pretty good slot WR in Carter, Reed, and Peoples. We did an excellent job in recruiting WR's and I predict in a few years this will be the best group of WR's UL has ever had. Again time will tell. We did miss out on Briggs and Liggins but we can't give every prospect a scholarship (we already signed a lot at 5) and we are not going to get every athlete we recruit to come to UL. In 4-5 years we can look back at these 7 WR's and and see who had the best college careers.
Typical State fan--somebody points out that Sly left State with decent talent and he attacks Ole Miss. Delta Boy didn't even bring up Ole Miss Johnny! State fans are having a hard time right now, because all of their big recruits that they thought were locks have jumped ship. They can't believe that these kids left because their two best recruiters--Hud and Diaz--took off, so they blame it on cheating. They ignore the fact that State's sour grapes act of turning in Auburn is coming back to bite them. They don't want to recognize that Dan Mullen, while a very good gameday coach, is widely known to not be a great recruiter and rubs people the wrong way.
Johnboy, I enjoy you being here and talking Cajuns, but for the love all football, please quit mucking up the place with your MSU garbage. I know that Ole Miss finished 6th in the West this year. But State finished 5th. Please please please just talk about the Cajuns on here from here on out.
i am gonna take the high road here. But anytime you or deltaboy wanna know the truth about who Mullen has signed and who croom signed. let me know I will PM you.
and fwiw, just because deltaboy mentioned it, doesnt mean he was right
That's the thing, Johnnyboy. I don't particularly care to know. I come on here to read about the Cajuns, not about MSU. All I'm asking is to keep it that way as much as possible. Again, I enjoy hearing about the guys you know and cover that are coming to UL. But the constant hen pecking gets old.
so i compare a positive at MSU to a positive at UL and that offends you?
I am sooo truly sorry to all the Cajun nation for comparing UL to MSU. It was obviously a ploy by me to bash The School Up North.
Dude, you are WAY too sensitive. That didn't bother me, as it was relevant to UL. What annoys me is when someone asks one thing about State, you always have to start your Ole Miss bashing. As I said, I enjoy when you make relevant posts. Sadly, however, you always seem to want to make it about you or MSU or whatever, and this is a Cajun's board. All I'm asking is to keep it relevant. Let's see if you can handle that.
Now, I'm done talking about this, because AGAIN this is a Cajun's board, it's NSD and the Cajuns have signed one of the best classes I've ever seen in the 30 plus years I've been a fan. GEAUX CAJUNS!
