that Bustle turned down a Notre Dame interview because he knew the LSU job was going to turn up, and he thinks he's in line for it? that's what i heard from someone high up in the UL hierarchy.

As far as I know the only time in history that there was a UL-NotreDame-LSU connection in the same year was 1943-44.

According to Alvin Darks autobiography both LSU and Notre Dame were afraid to play UL that year.

They probably just said no thankyou, but he wrote it. Yes that was probably a stretch, but so was your question.

hmm...you think LSU would hire somebody from little ole' UL? I seriously doubt it. They would probably also allow us to change our name to Louisiana the same day.

And it seems like ND would want to go a little more high profile than that, even though they were having a bit of trouble.

In a really mean way, I'd love to see Saban leave and LSU off their high horse, but in a way, that'd be less recognition for the state. If Saban leaving them means Bustle leaving us, then I don't want him to leave.

If Saben leaves Butch Davis will be the person at the top of their list and he has stated that the LSU job is one that he would really like.

I love the job Coach Bustle is doing but get real, he does not have a winning record or even one winning season here. Why would LSU or any other "big time" program hire him as their head coach when there are more proven candidates out there. Bustle is doing a great job here but it is not done. I will worry about another school stealing him away when we start winning.
