I keep bringing this up---I assume that we had a TO left at the end of the first half and as in past games we get the rebound with time left on the clock---Why not call time out and get a last second play called!!!! Somebody please explain this to me!!!!

If you call a time out with 1.4 seconds left. You have the basketball underneath your buck with their defense set, and you get a full court heave. However, you also have a chance of a 5 second violation or a turnover on the inbounds pass.

JJ got the rebound and took a dribble and heaved it, the exact same thing, without the risk.

Also, we had earlier called the use it or lose it timeout I think. Also, what happens if you can't get the ball in and your inbounder calls a time out and wastes one. All for the same exact thing that you got at the end of the first half.

I know that. All, I"m saying is a full court heave from the sideline will be no better than a full court shot. In one situation you are guaranteed to get the last shot, in the other situation you are not.
