I think Green or Burkhalter or a combintion of both can get it done. But I think we're missing the next Stanley Smith as our roster stands today.

speaking of Stanley Smith, I saw him on Saturday. He said he was resting up and would start working out in the next couple of weeks. I really hope he gets a chance at the next level. Told him the hit on the RB from North Texas was a hit I'll remember for a long time.

I anticipate Torres moving to SS. I dont believe Felders will win the starting spot... but he'll be in the rotation.

MLB is a question mark. And we need DTs!!! Marshall plays the hardest, Ferguson can when he wants to, Isaac has potential, and Bradley is not any good.

I still believe the difference between a good defense and a bad defense= DLine
I loved the play of Morgan as a freshman, he was very impressive. I hope he is 100% by next season, if so I would have him ahead of Kingsby. It just seems to take players almost 2 years to fully recover (see Willis McGahee) but then again I do not know the full extent of Morgan's injury. I also agree that Kingsby would make a good strong safety. We may see a JC or true freshman at SS (I only included players on the current roster). Felders seems too light to be a SS, as someone else suggested maybe Simon could play SS. He certainly is not afraid to get in there and hit, I just do not know how good his speed is. I am very suprised to hear that Green will move to MLB. He had to gain weight to play SLB. I hope he does not lose any speed (which he does have) with the move to MLB which will certainly require him to bulk up more.

Of all positions I am most concerned with DT, not quite sure what we have. Marshall plays hard but is under weight, Ferguson plays well at times, Isaac seemed to be hurt a lot, Bradley dissappeared most every game (he did not live up to the hype he received coming here). I hope the coaches can light a fire under the last 3 guys and get the potential out them that they have.

What ever happened to Mack Fair? Is he still on the team, if so will he be in the running for LB?

This is pretty good mr. swamp, but Curtis Isaac is not coming back, and Justin Taylor is getting a year back so, with that in mind, plus some inside info, this would be my guess, going into spring camp.

I don't know who we have signed or got commitments from, but we do need help on both sides of the ball, in the form of JC's. Let me know what you guys think, and If you want my O depth chart. Happy New Year.

Ah, I don't know about Johnny Felders starting, he didn't really impress me last year. Personally I think thats why were bringing in the Hargroder kid he's got very good size and I think he could make a big impact. Good call on Wes he'd be a better Strong Safety the only thing I'm concerned with is his speed I guess I got spoiled knowing that CC Brown would be back there so. I've heard rumors that Lamar may not be ready in time for the season I hope he is but, I've heard that because of his knee he may not be able to play this season but would be ready by Spring Training O6. I hope this is not the case but I did hear this rumor. To tell you the truth I know we'd be losing a valuable linebacker but I think Tyler Norman would make a hell of a Strong Safety not only is he way fast enough he'll come up and hit you maybe more aggressively than CC did. Those are my thoughts, I'm sad to hear about Issac I thought he had real potential but oh well.

Ragin' Cajuns Burkhalter can step up

Burkhalter should be the top canidate for MLB, he's 6ft 230lbs, running a high 4.6 He led the state in tackles his sr year and was selected all-state both his jr and sr year. he was all-state defensive mvp his sr year as well. yeah he'd be a rs-freshman but i watched him play in the playoffs in 04, and he dominated on the field. he's kind of short but the kid is solid muscle.
