But I think the baseball purists will welcome a return to small ball and the emphasis on good fundamentals and infield play. _
And you don't become a purist at Walmart! I expect this could help our crowds while it will probably hurt others in the area.

I agree with Tin Pan on this issue. I was able to attend three of the five games in the fall. Ironically, in the second inning of game two, Bulliard was hit right above the knee with a hot one hopper. That was one of the reasons for the new bat. To protect the pitchers from shots back at them. The wind was blowing hard in for the first couple of games and it was cool. There were very few big long outs. Saturday, the weather was warm and it was sunny. There were four home runs hit that afternoon. It will make a difference but I am not sure how much. Over the pines? Probably not, but a good lick will get out of the park.

    Thanks Z and CajunRed

Just trying to make a positive point about the Cajuns and given my alma mater I used the "yall" rather than the "we" as I would have otherwise felt presumptuous or whatever.

Hopefully by then Basketball will have the whole Sunbelt filling up their huggies with the Cajuns rolling into the SBC tourney red hot, Coach Hud bringing in the best recruiting class probably in UL football history, and Softball doing what Softabll does....win....a lot. Proud to be a Cajun right now. _
    YEAH YOU RIGHT!!!
