Baseball schedule 2012 out of conference

_ Guess their excuses for not consistently coming to the Tigue finally ran out! I can understand their reluctance, based on their last few years of performance... They have used the Katrina card for way to long! Maybe there is something else that needs changing in that program. _

Katrina really did hurt that program. but the hardest hit to Tulane Baseball has been new NCAA rules that have come into effect over the last few years.

Having said that - the head coach has done a terrible job the last 5 years ... They have been bad .. really bad .. and this year will be more of the same .. They need a new face of the program over there- IMO.. I hear rumors that this is Jones' last year .. we shall see ...

Beat me to it. The problem at Tulane will be taken care of this year when they finish about 9th in CUSA. He will be gone, and its about time.

I love college baseball season in Louisiana. Thanks to TOPS we have some very competitive mid-week games between in-state schools.

I read an article about how coach rob likes to go to those places (Tulane and LSU) because it simulates a regional environment for his team - he said it allows his team to play in front of big crowds that a typical mid-week game doesn't offer.

Yes Carl, I have heard Coach Robe say this many times. I think you can get your team in front of a hostile crowd on the road every year and expect a team IN YOUR OWN STATE to return the trip. Thats just me though.


Hell, it might even help out those upper level type teams too.
