I am proud of the fact that I have made lifelong enemies all over the state and country by tweaking the small minds and massive egos of the many paranoid LSWHO Tigger fans near and far. Oh, Turbine knows me well, too. Great guy from the great parish of Vermilion. Go Cajuns! _
You sir are a great man. Teach me the ways....

Yep, WWL in New Orleans used to let me call collect whenever I could to "spice up their programming." Old Hap used to get a huge kick when I used to conspire and then ruin the Tiger Rag program each week, setting off a tremendous Tulane vs. LSWHO call-in riot. I used to give Tiger Rag editor Scooter Hobbs strokes each and every week back then. I used three different voices to portray three different characters to gain access to the show multiple times each day to cause trouble. Hap loved it. I still have those tapes of him laughing hysterically as the lights on his board went crazy with irate LSWHO fans who were arguing with my three alter egos. In fact, a few "brave" LSU Aggie tanktop nation fans came to Gueydan in search of me to supposedly "mess me up bad" one weekend. But instead of going to my house, they ended up at the real Mayor's house here in Town! He called the police on them and they were ticketed and sent out of town on a rail. Buddy D. and I were close, too. I was the voice of the infamous Ross Perot and also the original Abdul the Tentmaker in the 1990s on his shows, but I quit making calls after I got a writing job. Now that I'm out of work again, I guess I'll get back to what I do best--ruffling the feathers of those LSWHO fans that live in the Lafayette area and hate our great University of Louisiana! Go Cajuns!

Hap was one of the really "good guys" in the business. You couldn't have had a better guy present you with that award. Gosh, time flies. He would have really enjoyed seeing the Saints win it all last season. Something tells me that he probably watched that game anyway from up above, though.
