UL football gets 8 more recruits

_ One thing I wonder is how "good" an athlete Alsander truly is. People who follow this more closely than I can give a better answer to that question. Beyond Alsander, I also wonder how the uncertain conference situation may affect Tech. It would not surprise me to see some of the guys committed to them now go elsewhere. _

I'm extremely impressed with Hud and his staff's recruiting efforts. They offer some of the better talent and are ready in a second to move on to another great candidate.

This ain't your grandma's Ragin Cajun football staff. As for Tech, I would think better than half of their recruits are in a re-evaluation mode. Of course, that extends these recruits and their parents the benefit of the doubt about their knowledge on the future of the WAC and Tech. I'm not real sure people know just how upside down Tech's athletic future is.

I think we are going to see a little bit of everything come signing day, even for UL. If the rumor is right, we are going to be pleasantly surprised.

I read somewhere yesterday that Kenneth Proctor had changed his commitment from UL to FIU. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? Scouts has him as a UL commit as of 1/6/11, but ESPN has him as a FIU commit as of 1/22/11, and lists UL as "also considered".

Spoke with Proctor Sunday on his way home, he is happy with UL. He isn'tinterested in FIU.

I think some folks are giving too much credit to this conference situation as far as recruiting goes at the moment. They're not nearly as up-to-speed on all that mess as us fans are. Regarding Alsander, is he really one of the top athletes in the nation or something? No. Could he be good eventually? Of course, but who knows? You guys have plenty of other recruits, and so does Tech, so I don't think this one guy is going to make or break either program.

I do believe you are correct. I don't think most Tech recruits are "up to speed" on much of anything, so no doubt they won't be aware of the WAC situation.

Are you sure you're a Tech fan? You do not exhibit the inflated ego required to be a Tech fan. Are you posting under the influence of an ego suppressant?
