Me too. I spoke to Zeke at 4:44 p.m. First question: Just wanted to double-check you committed to the Cajuns, right? His answer: "Yes sir," then he went on to say good things about Hud, the coaches, players and school. (Had others also speak to him to confirm the news.) He's close with Reed and Broadway, saying that played a factor.

Reached out to him when I heard about his possible switch and have yet to get a reply.

Recruiting is notoriously ugly and nasty. In fact, if we do lose Alsander this way, I will hate Tech even more. However, in a way it is actually somewhat satisfying to be entering the arena of a higher level DI recruiting. (I don't like the practices, but at least we are after recruits that other schools want.)

Albeit it will be totally frustrating to report for T and JP.

How long has it been since you asked Aslander for clarification on his status?

@Hammer: Don't have a problem doing so. Just a bother when there's plenty to cover between recruiting and basketball.

@Mike: Tried to reconnect last night around 9:45 pm, via phone and e-mail.

Ends up that he's flip-flopped throughout the process. Cajuns have in-home visit with him this week. Looks like this will go down to the end.

While I agree, if you aren't ready to commit because you can't choose between team A and team B; then don't commit just because you think it's what the coach wants to hear!

That said, as we are reminded every year, we are talking about 18 year olds! Many of them don't know what they want, and don't know how to handle the pressures of being recruited. Kind of like early dating years - wow, I had a great time with the blond last night - I'm never even going to LOOK at another - - then along comes the beautiful brunnette!
