Louisiana hope return to Cajundome produces better results after 0-2 road trip.

LOUISIANA La. — It was already a dismal enough trip for Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns, with losses to Georgia State and Charlotte three nights apart dropping coach Robert Lee's squad to 2-3 on the season.

Then came Thursday's return trip, which turned out to take most of the day.

The Cajuns' scheduled early morning departure from Charlotte was delayed by some 6 hours while the aircraft was being repaired.

There was a layover in Dallas-Fort Worth.

There was the hour-long drive from Baton Rouge once they landed back in Louisiana.

When the team bus finally arrived at the UL Athletic Complex, it was 8:15 p.m., completing an aggravating day of travel that lasted over 12 hours.

Piled on top of two disappointing performances, it was a road trip from Hades for Lee.

“I don't know if there was anything we did particularly well,” said Lee, whose Cajuns lost 85-78 at Georgia State on Monday night and 84-68 at Charlotte on Wednesday.

“Against Charlotte, we played with the kind of effort and intensity we'll need in order to be successful, but that's about it.
