    Default Eligibility Rules

What exactly is the rule that makes a player ineligible to sign with UL but still eligible to sign with ULM or Troy? Scout lists ULM as currently having 19 commits. Is there any way to tell which of their commitments aren't eligible to sign with a college that has any kind of admission standards?

It's not that UL can't sign the same players. It's that UL can't afford to take the same chances on players who might drop out due to future grades.

    That's APR

Now 'Selective Admissions' limitations is another issue.

Isn't Troy exempt from APR? Can someone tell me why?

If I recall it has something to do with tuition assistance or income average which includes online students from all over.

I know that isn't exactly right.

Troy no longer has an APR exemption. They do have open admissions and several programs of study that rarely produce academic casualties.

Yes, such difficult courses as "what's my name?", "I can count to three", and "football".

Does ULM still have an APR exemption?

I am not certain about either ULM or ASU; both had it at one time.

Both also have open admissions and programs similar to Troy's.

Don't get me wrong; I seriously doubt we have very many physics majors playing for us, either.

i agree we don't get too many footballers who pursue this type of curriculum, but we do have to be "selective" in the areas of gpa and act/sat scores. that makes a big difference in the players we target for recruitment.
