Aw, that's too bad - the kid came out of my local JC and I was hoping he'd be able to contribute there. No way around Babb, though.Originally posted by CAJUNGURU

IT IS B.S."
Coach Bustle said it on Rickman's show this morning. Is this source reliable enough? He has no animosity, He even got the staff to autograph a football as a memento, he just wanted a chance to play his senior year, so I am assuming he will be looking for a 1 AA to play at."
Watch it Crawfish, don't you know it's gospel!
I thought you gys stated Jenkins was a fullback? Did he play this past season? It looks like he played in the Troy game judging from the picture posted....If he did play, at what position?
Yes Jenkins did play quite a bit this past season. He played at FB mainly in blocking situtations.
well i can promise u for as long as i have been knowing this guy he will loose the 30 lbs or more that he has to and hold the fort down . jerry wont have to worry about being sacked. this guy has never been on a loosing football team from jr high through his juco years. it just started once he got here . i can expect him to be at the top of his game. he will have it all under control by the spring . fans i strongly believe u guys should jump on the bandwagon cause if you dont u will wish u had of
the guys have seniors who have been there and knows how to get the job done. i think that our true senior leaders will step up and respond to the challange and have not only our young leaders but players step and be leaders for years to come. just have to get the players and fans to get out of the losing spirit.
no one is in the losing spirit we are just talking about lack of depth in certain positions. hopefully bustle recruits and gets a few lucky catches on some players that can step up .Originally posted by texasboy40

But honestly, Babb and the D unit needs to start putting up some more wins.(8-15)
Still true. Q are any of the freshmen being promised starting position?Originally posted by cajun tom
You do not start a quarterback with a broken rib.
there are no promised starting jobs.
Dont forget they got that QB transfer from Northwestern. He is supposed to be a stud athlete. He is much like desormeaux in the sense that he will probably see action in other places on the field. QB depth shouldnt be a problem. Also, dont be surprised if wallace does sign his letter of intent, he may be the Cajun running back for next season if he has a good summer. Newman is a stud! He will be starting next year and you will be impressed with him. He was a true freshman and made freshman mistakes, but if you were watching the same games that I was last year, he also lead the team in pancakes. He was destroying lineman last year. He will have a great year.
