"And finally, in regards to Hundley, I can't honestly say I've seen him play so I'm not about to judge his ability. But I cannot honestly believe that his families (yes I know who his family is) well deserved financial success had nothing to do with his being offered a scholarship. Is that a bad thing? Not at all. UL needs all of the financial backing it can muster. But I'd just like to see Fourroux have a fair chance to compete with Desormeaux and Hundley and settle who the best QB is."
With all due respect,it's not what you believe, but what you know is indeed fact. With all honesty,do you know for sure that he was offered because of his families potential donations to the program? I don't think you do and that is a disservice to this staff and his family to make such an accusation based upon your opinion. Again, the UL staff is not the only Div1 program not to offer him. In fact, to my knowledge none have to this date. I think it's only fair to mention that fact, when second guessing this staff.
As for Desormeaux, I spoke to several coaches that game planned against both young men. One coach Lotief, at North Vermilion(a personal friend) stated that Desormeaux was the better QB prospect. So I have to go with the opinion of coaches and Bustle, instead of a few disappointed fans.
Finally, Fourroux will have an opportunity to prove all those who doubted his ability. Just like Jake Delhomme, he will be given that chance at some program.
I will measure his play against Div.1 programs, just like the Cajun quarterbacks. Do you know for sure if McNeese St. is our the 2005 schedule? I have not heard about this development.
