Thread: Carter, Porter slated to visit UL

  1. Default Carter, Porter slated to visit UL

The Ragin' Cajuns will welcome at least 13 recruits to town for their official on-campus visits this weekend. That includes nine prospects from Louisiana and three student-athletes that have already publicly committed to sign with UL on National Signing Day ...

"If we can get a kid here, we can close the deal," Hudspeth said. "We're shooting for difference makers. When you do that, you are in some battles."

Very exciting!!!!!!!! So, what is our chances of landing these big time players? Also, i noticed that Hub likes tall receivers. This is a change from years past. I was always confused when i would see 5'10, 5'9, 6'0..... and so on. I like what he is doing. These receivers are big and have some good speed!!!!

Well just thing about the change that came to football---People on offense started playing touch football with all the wideouts and zone defenses couldn't handle it ---they go to some man coverage where they can still blitz--to cover you need the lil nickels and dimes to run with the receivers---offense is now going to taller wide outs for fade routes and to smother block on the perimeter!!! Well anyway that is how I see it ---No time to bring in the effect of the triple option and the ad and dis Advantages!!!!

A couple of other Alabama recruits (DT Jakari Kinnie and RB Alonzo Harris) also visiting. Deadline issues kept me from getting it in the story last night.

ATH Devante Scott (Ferriday/Ferriday High) also visiting. Is a Mississippi State pledge. Played QB in high school but projects as RB or WR in college.

This is a 3 star (for those counting stars) commitment to an SEC program. Not a bad coup to pull off...whether we end up getting him or not.
