Tatford to Tulane and Beyond

Fact is he didn't and the new staff felt he fit better at OL than TE so now he has to settle for tulane and the excitement that is the Bob Toledo regime (for however much longer it lasts). _

Some football players are not built for excitement. Tulane and their 10 fans are sometimes a good fit for certain athletes. I still think about our players back in the Stokley days when we throttled Tulane in the Dome, with both Mitchell and Delhomme, saying that Tulane players were the most foul-mouthed players they had ever played against. This surprised our football players. They thought that Tulane was Ivy League-ish and would be a classier bunch. That was a joke.

Yes best of luck to Tatford and any and all recruits where ever they go! It is an honor just to be recruited to the college level at any sport. Tatford and my son played on an AAU basketball team together as Freshmen. Very nice kid, he grew several inches in high school to 6'6" my son grew to 6'2".

His decision came down to Tulane and Memphis. He had the opportunity to play TE at both schools. The opportunity to advance his education at Tulane was 2nd to none, as he aspires to go to dental school.

Its far more understandable to lose them to Tulane rather than Tech.

Have not heard anything, but would love to see Evan come home. Only had 6 catches last year for 20 yards, but the Tulane offense was abysmal and you can not coach size 6'5" 247 lbs.

No, i have not heard that. Without any agenda why would he leave TooLame, they are going to be in the BE, and have a brand new playground before he would graduate? Maybe it is the echoes of the hits in the empty stadium that would drive anyone to a sane conclusion that they made a major mistake in going there for football.
