Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team opens a brief two-game road trip on Monday, Nov. 29, as the squad faces Georgia State at 5 p.m. (CST) at the GSU Sports Arena in Atlanta. Monday’s game is the first on a two-game road trip which ends Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Charlotte. It’s also the Cajuns first game outside the state of Louisiana this season – first two games were on the road, but played in Baton Rouge (50 miles from Lafayette down I-10).
The Ragin’ Cajuns (2-1) are coming off of a 75-61 victory over Rice University in the home opener on Saturday, Nov. 27, and will be looking to make it back-to-back wins for the first time in the Robert Lee Era.
Georgia State (1-2) will be making its 2004-05 regular season home debut. The Panthers, current members of the Atlantic Sun Conference, have lost back-to-back games since opening the season with a 70-68 victory over Southern Miss in the Jim Thorpe Classic held in Reno, Nev. GSU fell to No. 8 Kentucky 77-59 on Friday, Nov. 26 in its last outing. Monday’s game will mark the first meeting between the two schools.
Let’s Play Two...
Monday’s game will be the first of two meetings this season between the Ragin’ Cajuns and Georgia State. The two teams will complete the home-and-home series on Monday, Dec. 20 when the Panthers visit the Cajundome for a 7:05 p.m. tipoff.
