Oxford’s Billups Weighing Options

Oxford High all-state quarterback Guy Billups tripped down to the University of Louisiana to visit the Cajuns with teammates Larry Pettis and DeShaun McNeal. Billups didn’t receive the offer he was looking for, but was given an option to weigh.

I know i can speak for BJ when I say its just a pleasure to get to know these kids. 90% of them are not just great athletes, they are great young men. Guy is the most mature and down to earth 17 year old i have ever met. Thanks for taking me in and letting me become ya'lls friend

At least Guy has a no lose option between the Cajuns and Rice for an education! By the way, raginWaldo is right, we (can) make a mean owl gumbo!

I feel Guy will make a decision he is comfortable with and I am glad he has good options. I/we want him to be a CAJUN, but I will be a supporter of whatever choice he makes, and that is just because of the fine things I have read about him on these boards!
