    For the first time since taking over as UL's new head football coach nearly a month ago, Mark Hudspeth met with all of his players and coaching staff on Tuesday night.

    Chris Masson, a junior quarterback, walked away impressed.

    The plan is ambitious and there appear to be many meaningful changes being implemented that are not referenced here...

    Interesting quote from Masson:

    "We feel like we have the players, and hopefully we have the guidance now."

    That would indicate a lack of guidance up to now. Our program appears now to be in the right hands to lead us to the promised land.

    Masson likes to give quotes, hope he becomes a better quarterback with this new "guidance."

    I hope all of our quarterbacks become better quarterbacks. He wasn't bad last year, and the other guys didn't exactly knock it out of the park.

    Having been one of a few people in the room when Masson said that, I didn't come away with the impression that he had an issue with the previous coaches. Just my two cents.

    I figured as much. It's not the first time Masson's been taken out of context on this board.
