Our administration keeps kissing these private schools ~~~~~es. When are we going to learn they are all A-holes.

You guys are lookin' for execuses not t' like Rice.

I think alls he said was that they can't schedule as of yet because of existing contracts and the transition from the WAC to CUSA. I think it is important for us to play quality programs like Rice. I hope this series can continue.

It would be a great series.

I know that Jessie Evans could never get it going.

Perhaps now with them having 4 more openings each year, it can happen.

How about the fact that they chanted "Tiger Rejects!" at us last year in their overgrown high school gym? That seems like a good enough reason for me...

Though I do hope we continue this series with the Longhorn/Aggie/Red Raider/Horned Frog/Mean Green/Cougar/Miner rejects...

They are the worse D-1A team in Texas

CF 91, I, personally, would like to have Rice on all of our athletic schedules, but for whatever reason, they have this false elitism that will prevent this from happening. After this afternoon I do not believe we will see a Rice athletic team again on our campus, unless they are forced to do so.

If I recall correctly Jesse tried like the dickens to schedule them. They practically said that we were not the type of academic institution they wanted to associate with. If that is the way they want it, so be it. It is their loss, not ours.

Finally, what makes Rice a quality athletic program? Other than baseball they don't have too much to crow about, athletically.

Owls give one to Ragin' Cajuns
Rice undone by 31 turnovers, erratic team play

LAFAYETTE, LA. - More than 50 years had passed since Rice last visited Lafayette, and if Saturday afternoon offered any indication as to why so much time had elapsed between trips, the Owls might want to reconsider future jaunts across the Sabine River.

Ah yes, the Owls lay down and gave it to us! Say what? The Owls just don't get it. Those turnovers were created by our defense and athleticism. The Owl players, and coach, can whine and place the blame on "bad luck". The Cajuns created THEIR "LUCK"!!!

    Makes you look prophetic cajuncharlie.

The headline smacks of elitism but the 1st paragraph lends more to fear.

"Crediting the Cajuns for the miscues would understate just how sloppy and erratic the Owls were on the offensive end."

I guess they think 17 steals were all Rice miscues?

Turbine, didn't you know I was a prophet? Before the tailgating season began I prophesized that you would be visiting us at the Krewe de Chew site. See what I mean????
