Jay, just listened to your show. Thank you for never elaborating on Kyle's comments or interrupting him. Greatly appreciated by this listener.

Few notes:
Didnt learn too much in Fall but that's not new.
CF, 1B, C and Friday night needs experience. CF should be quicker to adapt with experience.
Strentz and Sinclair behind the plate. Important for them to grow quickly as it affects whole team a good bit.
Looking at Switz and Compton at 1B. Compton is a natural 1B that was rehabbing in the Fall coming off Tommy John due to injury pitching. Bourque will find a place somewhere. Coming off surgery in Summer so they took it slow in Fall.
Poirrier could see more time at DH with more depth now, but it will be dependent on health. T-Fred also looking at 1B some.
Infield will depend on how it just shakes out in first few weeks of practice and games. Nothing set.
Talked about JUCO players going out. 36 on roster right now. By the time it starts there will be around 33 and a few redshirt. Simoneaux and Girouard will RS. De Gruy may too depending on rehab
Francia, Compton, Leonards, Strentz and Kellogg will try to season them throughout the year since next year will be very young
Francia will get a good look in the next 30 days to see how he adapts with taking hitting, fielding, strength program, etc. Freshmen just need to be patient and gain experience over the season.
Leonards can play anywhere. No pitching for him though. SS only right now as he can likely be the future. Hicks will do the same at 2B.
Petello likely at 4 hole most of the year. Lucky to get him (not drafted.) CF will be open to whoever is best suited to that role. Odd man out probably DH.
Commercial time
Hubbell and Goulas are co captains
Hubbell and Satriano are 2 of a kind. Both can fill any role so they will basically take whatever role is needed. Whatever the other guys cant do on the staff, those two will
Feel that Zimmerman is much better suited in this pitching system than UNO. Also much more stable here so you cant look at his numbers last year. Guy that the staff recruited hard in HS.
Duhon should see more short innings. Hebert is rehabbing. Kellogg got thrown into a game in fall and did heck of a job. Josh Bailey will pitch based on how his arm feels as he had Tommy John a couple years back.
Nicholson is well respected, quiet guy. Has very good stuff. Take a look at him on the weekend
Mike Cook, aka the Human Rain Delay, will get another look at a weekend spot. Still know what we have in him as a guy who will need to throw more strikes
Matt Hicks can be a late inning guy. Very focused, hard worker and well respected especially for a freshman. Not the tallest guy but tough player
Traffica fell in love with his fast ball last year around mid season and started to get hit. He is still coming along and we saw potential early on.
Not sure if Ryland Parker could be starter or not since he's one of those guys that just comes right at you. Type of pitcher that can go along great for a while than get shelled.
Leadership should continue because a lot of the guys witnessed how last year worked and supported last years captains. Had a player only meeting before the break, not something that occurs normally. Leadership seemed to carry over.
Lot depends on how seniors accept lesser roles at some time.
Conference is great this year.
Robe got me pumped for baseball already! RV is ready for some Tigue Tailgating!!
Geaux Cajuns!
