Recruiting Bash/Party/Gala

With less than a month until National Signing Day, I was wondering if someone was hosting an event for the recruits and the public on signing day? Something sort of like the LSU Recruiting Bash. Josh,Jay or Cajun T any answers?

We've had one the last 2 or 3 years at the IPF. I'm sure we'll do that again.

Talking with Reed and Troy, something should be announced soon. More then likely, it will be held in the Moncla Indoor Facility again for this year.

It has been great and the IPF works out just fine----We need to charge an admission fee and need to triple the attendance----Need some tables to stand around and EAT!!!!!

I've been to every recruiting celebration so far and enjoy the heck out of them; but my opinion is that ones held in the indoor facility just don't seem to be as "electric". It's too big. And that blow up screen is just not very clear. I feel the best ones were upstairs in the convention center. Also used in the past was the Town House (too small) and the Alumni House (room in the back) which was also too small (except for the Baldwin years where it was too big) This years event will be special where ever it's held! Can't wait.

Hotel Acadiana (not sure of the name now) on Pinhook, was a good fit.

My favorites were in the Convention Center. I do like the openness of the IPF but RedBug is right, a little spark is lost.

I do not know for certain but I would suspect that finances play a part in the location. I believe UL has to pay to use all of the other locations mentioned. Even the Cajundome Convention Center is partially owned by the city. I'm pretty sure the University has to pay some fees to use it. The IPF is wholly owned by the university so other than utilities there are probably no additional associated costs.

Fill the IPF and now you get all the ZING you will ever need to Swing----need to think big that's the Thing---- Come along but others you will need to Bring---We will have by far UL's finest FLING---Now don't leave me out on a Wing!!!! So come on out and start our victory String!!!!!
