Your not talking about some guy from Comeaux thats local...your talking about 2 all-state players at their respective positions in the highest classification of football in Louisiana.

Nobody's argueing that we wouldn't love to have these athletes at UL. That's their choice isn't it?

OK then, 5A 1st Team All State TE that is local and not pulling the trigger, or do you pull the trigger on LaDarius Green who is ready to commit?

I don't speak for the staff, but the Cajuns are recruiting six other cornerbacks that are faster then Hollier and not all of them are from Mississippi. The Cajuns picked up Proctor at safety yesterday and he is bigger and faster. I like Hollier, but he is not as fast as Micah Eugene who is a better CB prospect and, he is a little small for safety like current Cajun Stokes. I know they like him, but the clock is running.

Evan Tatford is a solid TE and type of character kid with great academics that you want in the program. That being said, Pettis runs 4.54, Evan is not close to that and they have one other opening at TE today. I wouldn't be here saying this to you if I didn't want either kid at UL. I'm just telling you and others, there are some good kids coming in on visits this month and this staff is not going to turn down quality recruits to wait until signing day without a commitment.

Good input and to the guy who said he'd rather sign safeties than linemen, did you not see what happened to our offensive line last season? Sure it isn't a glamor position, but if we want Broadway to be able to survive a season I'd say line is very important.

Coach Hudspeth started in home visits this week after "Dead Period". He has picked up three in the past few days without campus visits yet. You want to bet against him picking up more before January 21st?

I sat next to Bakari's posse during the state championship. He has about 10 people cheering him on.
Isn't a Tatford already on the team? If so the add would be zero.

BTW, I love the local angle. Should we be concerned about losing Matt Des to graduation? The Des clan may not go to the games anymore. How will we make up for the lost attendance?

Its a hypothetical my man. Are you saying these guys are the best prospects that we can get?

I'm asking you a HYPOTHETICAL question. About waiting for local talented kids who are Not ready to commit vs. taking equally or more talented kids from other areas.

My bet is Hollier and others in Louisiana are holding out for the slight chance of playing for the Holy Grail (LSU). I would not even be surprised if LSU has told these kids to hold tight just incase they lose a few out of state recruits.

I am in agreement with most everyone else. Lets get the best available kid. If it is a local, great. No spots should be reserved for local kids who look at us as the option of last resort.
