At the same time that it may be the Louisiana kids loss, it is also the Cajuns, and now Coach Hud's loss for not keeping a spot for 2 of the best local prospects just because he has some good prospects from Mississippi. No matter what position Coach needs to fill....Hollier and Tatford should be top priority to keep in Lafayette
Because I'm sure attendance will be wildly higher with them. Is that the reason?
Actually attendance would benefit from both of those guys there...besides the fact that they are both the best players at their position in the area to add to it
You must have misunderstood the situation. Coach HUD wants the kids and is looking for their commitment. It is they who are stringing this out and will not give an answer. If you care so much, call them right now and tell them to commit. Otherwise, those spots will be filled by others. Commitment works both ways.

No sir, winning is the priority! Ands it's time people put this stuff behind them. Yes, they want local kids and I don't blame any of them for not coming to UL based upon what has happened here over the past 15 years. There are opportunities available right now for those athletes, but you don't wait on athletes when you are visiting prospects that are better and are ready to commit. I think in some cases, there are athletes that are worth waiting for like Montrel Carter and Micah Eugene. But even in those cases, you don't stop recruiting the position to wait on every local athlete.
They may commit very soon...who knows...what im trying to say is that if those kids want to wait till signing day...they should have a spot as oppose to adding depth at another position (just because we are full at CB or TE). I would much rather have a better CB or TE than an extra "body" on either line. For instance, I would much rather get Pettis, Quave, and Tatford than Pettis, Quave, and some lineman who may be our 4th best lineman commit. Let one of the TE's convernt positions. And you can never have enough DBs as seen this year.
