_ What kind of defense will we be running with our new DC, a 3-4 or 4-3? With fewer big bodies on defense, I wouldn't mind seeing a 3-4 and utililzing our speed and depth with 4 LBs. Seems like a lot of teams, both college and pro, have moved to a 3-4. _

The problem with a 3-4 is that you need a big body in the middle to keep the O-Line occupied so the LB's can run free. A couple of those type of guys are being recruited though so we will see what happens.

We have some big bodies in the middle with DL at 6'4" and 290 lbs. or bigger including the transfer from LSU who will be eligible this year. We certainly can't play 3 down linemen with 5'11" 280 lb. DL in the middle and 235 lb. DE.

You can be 6'4 290 and not be a fit for a 3-4 def. On the current roster there are no space eaters who demand a double team and that is what you need for it to work properly.
