That is going to change with Coach Hudspeth and Coach Stringer at the helm. If they want to come here, they will make sure they stay

You and I tend to think on the same lines. I will make a couple of points.

I would take Bridgewater out and put Montrell Carter in. We need a slasher, do everything type of guy for the future, especially in the return game and if we were to get lucky enough to sign the guys you mentioned before him, we would have plenty of big targets to be happy with. We need that guy who can either run the wildcat, reverses or bubble screens and Carter would fit that bill nicely.

I'd also like to see Alsander at Tackle. We need some depth on the OL with several seniors on this year's squad and he has the size to mold.

Kitchen would be nice but its a fart in the wind at this point. Hollier would be HUGE and I'd like to add 3 total CB's. Hollier, Abraham and Ben Brooks.

At safety, I'd love to get Larry Franklin but also think that's not likely which is why Cory Trim and Ellis Carey interest me.

As a wildcard, I'd like to see us give Chase Underwood some consideration. He was one of
the better performers at last summer's camp and he has the athleticism and size we need.

Points of interest to this year's team should be CB, LB and DL. We need LB and CB help more than we can imagine and the depth at CB is laughable. I think they will sign as many as 3 CB's and they may choose to sign a 4th for all i know.

i was talking specifically about Gerami who is already on the squad and played last year. if Hud wanted to put him on scholarship wouldn't that be done differently than the LOI on signing day?

My guess is that we sign at least 1 JuCo CB if not 2. We need depth really bad at that position for next season. I think we also sign 2-3 HS CB's as well. My guess is that we sign 4 CB's in this class, either 1 JuCo and 3 HS CB's or 2 and 2.

Gerami will be given a scholarship out of this year's signing class. Teams are allowed to sign up to 25 a year and I am sure Hud will use all of them. Gerami's scholarship will come from attrition within the program as there is always 1 or 2 players who do not make it back, or a scholarship will become avaliable from a signee who does not qualify and has to either grey shirt or go the JuCo route.

I am not sure I would give Billups a scholarship offer as it seems we may get him to walk on because he does not have any other offers at this time.

What about Montrel Carter from Cecelia at WR. He is a must get. I would take him before Bridgewater. Also we have already promised a scholarship to WR Harry Peoples.

I think there is a decent chance Tatford will end up at OL. Also I hope we
get Ezekiel Alsander who is another big OL.

I believe we need to use at least 1 scholarship on a JuCo CB.
I don't think we have much of a shot at CB Daren Kitchen with his offer to Michigan.

We must not forget the K Alvarez.

Other wise I really like your choices and that class would be awesome.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to Schofield and his verbal commitment to Tulane. As far as Gerami goes I do not know the specifics of which year he counts against when they give an existing player a scholarship.

with all due respect, your not gonna get Billups for free. And you shouldnt. He has preferred walk on offers from Florida State and Mississippi State. Plus he has an offer from Delta State. If he walks on somewhere it wont be ULL. Hud knows this and understands this

I think Spikes is better than Carter IMO.

I agree Spikes is a much better RB, but Carter will be used as a slot WR and kick returner. Also since he is a local I don't want to see him get away.
