The only guy I ever saw grab the top of a standard NCAA backboard was Elvin Hayes..... and he grabbed it jumping off of both feet from a standing start. I also saw him (in pre-game warmup) put a basketball under his arm and dunk it with his elbow from a standing start.. Elvin was a good Louisiana boy that we missed. Can you imagine how good we'd have been with him and Marvin Winkler?

Because he was the most talented basketball player that I have ever seen, during free play he would dominate everyone on the floor. There was so much hype surrounding AJ but, he was on campus for 2 years before he became eligible. So it was a running joke with the athletes, that he exist but no one has ever seen him kinda like the Easter Bunny!
