Never said that I was ranked or any good. I was just saying MOST players are ranked if they are any good. Thus by him not being ranked he probably has a ton of guys ranked higher than him that are more deserving.
I also said that some times unranked guys work out and become stars as I hope is the case with this young man. That is all.
Porter, I think is mostly recruited by the instate schools like Southern, SE LA, McNeese and Northwestern. We haven't offered Porter yet and I presume its because we're waiting to see what Pichon does.
Pichon is getting more exposure as La Tech, UL, Memphis and SMU and I'm sure some of the bigger schools are coming on to him right about now.
Keep it rolling, stars don't matter, it's where the heart is and how we coach them up.........
Micah Eugene might disagree with you. They're several reasons why some kids are not rated 1.) They didn't play varsity the previous season and weren't on the radar at any summer camps 2) Academics weren't good going into Junior Day's last spring, see (Eugene, Briggs, Robinson, Tovell). 3) They didn't have the money to travel to big football camps like Nike, NCU Combine or Under Armor. Oh, and one last caveat, the regional directors for Scout and Rivals won't rate them at all if their BCS programs are not recruiting them.
I guess Mr Cajun thought it just came down to talent. They've never been that unbiased...and probably never will be.

I can tell you how my website graded them if that will help.
we dont give stars, we give biscuits(ie...Dawg Biscuits lol)\
1.. Larry Pettis- There are 3 big time TE in Mississippi. Malcolm Faciane, Rufus Warren, and Larry Pettis. Malcolm is a 4 star(bama offered so he HAS to be a 4star lol). Rufus is a three star. Larry graded out better than both. His upside makes him top 5 in the country in our ratings. I didnt give input on Larry because he was a family friend
2. Deshaun McNeal- Deshaun is a 2 star for one reason, no exposure. Only played one year. had he played three years, would be a five star WR and number one player in Mississippi. He is a steal. Needs to gain some weight, but if you throw a fade to the corner of the endzone, its a touchdown. PERIOD. He is a basketball player that can jump and touch the top of the backboard.
3. Tovell- Same as Deshaun, not much exposure. We graded him as a 3 star LB, top 5 ILB in the state. Explosive and if he hits you, you go down. Starting at ILB, might grow into a rush DE. But seriously, only two LB in the state impressed me more, one is an army all american, the other i am sending your coaches film on.
The other kids in Mississippi i will let CajunT tell you about when that time comes. I respect him more than anyone on Scouts network and he does a better job than any of the others do.
