Celia Varela, Kimberly Lyles, Celine VanWeydeveld, Chanell Meijer, Tammy Day, Thais Bortoletto and Susan Linden will be the Cajuns competing in the tournament.

“After last weekends performance our expectations are high,” women’s tennis coach Lisa Jackson said. “The girls have had six weeks to train, so we are going into it pretty confident.”

The teams competing in the Pepsi Challenge will be Lamar, Arkansas-Little Rock, Southern Miss., Louisiana-Monroe, UNO, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech., Sam Houston State and Northwestern.

“We want to get someone in the finals against these strong teams,” Jackson said. “This will be a good test for the girls and give us some good Sun Belt competition.”

The men will also play this weekend in the Tulane Invitational.
