We plan to sit down with Coach Whitt and Coach Hudspeth when time allows it to discuss training table meals. Right now, there is no funding mechanism in place for it.

    Josh,

Do you know if the strength coach who joined the staff late this past season will be kept or will Hudspeth look for someone else?

P.s. Hopefully you will get your family back soon

the strength coach is not purely a part of the football staff since he doesn't work just with football so he will be kept

It's my understanding that Whitt will be kept, although Hudspeth wants to add more strength and conditioning staff. We'll see how that works out. Hudspeth led the strength and conditioning program when he was Delta State's offensive coordinator from 1999-2000, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get more involved in that aspect.

we really do need more S&C coaches. having only 2-3 guys to take care of all the athletes really is far from an ideal situation. there are a lot of time when the S&C coaches are getting to work at 4 or 5 in the morning and not leaving until 7 or 8 at night and that takes a huge toll on there personal life as well as there professional life I'm sure. More times than not people on here want to blame the strength coaches for every injury that occurs and that is not fair but i do think that the athletes could get a lot more out of their workouts if the admin would commit a little more cash to the S&C staff fund

I don't think blaming the S&C coaches is what people were doing ... it is more like questioning; and if more staff could be added, I think it would make a drastic improvement for all involved. Better delegation, more personal supervision, etc.
